Our trainings aim to improve the economic opportunities for adult refugees and immigrants while promoting English language acquisition (ELA) and digital literacy proficiency. Courses are delivered using a a hybrid (blended) learning model.

This class is for: ORR eligible English Language Learners
Class length: 5-10 weeks
Class Overview: Our primary concepts include Computer Hardware Basics, Computer Software Basics, Internet Basics, Email Basics, Google Meet, Google Drive, Google Docs/Sheets and Online Safety. We incorporate both oral and written communication into each class and introduce new vocabulary while promoting hands-on learning. The course consists of 20 hours of live training. Training is also supplemented by video lessons provided by Northstar Digital Literacy. This allows students to practice English language terminology specific to digital literacy and review material at their convenience. At the end of the training participants test for nationally recognized credentials.
